Rainbow’s End, Livingston, Texas
Opinion: Recommended for an overnight stay or as a place to stay while obtaining Texas residency. The park is older and showing its age. However, it offers a variety of support services for the full-time RVers, such as, a mail service and long-term care center.
Amenities: Showers, laundry, swimming pool, dog park, a mail forwarding center, and long-term (or short term) medical Care Center (nursing home) on site.
Dates of Stay: February 18-19, 2017
Overview of Sites: Over 300 RV sites with a variety of services from none to water/electric hookups – all sites range in length but the park can accommodate all RVs, drive through and back-in sites, somewhat level grass/gravel sites, and interior roads are paved or gravel.
Laundry: Functioning laundry on site.
Restrooms: Older but clean and stocked restrooms.
Rate: We paid $21.00 a night as Escapee members for full hookups. $27.50 for no-members. Daily, weekly, and monthly rates available.
Our Site/Phone/TV: Site 58 – Verizon and AT&T worked for phone, wi-fi, and over-the-air TV picks up a few channels. After raining our site was a little sloppy. A little gravel would help.
Elevation/Landscape/Terrain: It is located in the country and you park in various grass/gravel areas throughout the park.
Lighting/Noise: No obtrusive lighting or noise at night.
Favorite Camper Site: None
