Maverick Ranch RV Park, Lajitas, Texas
Opinion: Highly Recommended as a place to stay while visiting the Big Bend National Park. The park is a part of the Lajitas Golf Resort and is located about 40 miles from Big Bend. It’s a short drive (by Texas standards) to Terlingua, which has a few attractions.
Amenities: Golf course, restaurants, shops, equestrian center, chapel, laundry, pool, television room, and meeting rooms.
Dates of Stay: March 5-12, 2017
Overview of Sites: Over 100 RV pads with full hookups – all sites range in length but the park can accommodate all RVs, drive through and back-in sites, level sites, asphalt pads, and interior roads are paved.
Laundry: Nice laundry on site.
Restrooms: Clean and well stocked private restrooms.
Rate: We paid $250.00 for the weekly rate. They offer discounts with Good Sam, but not while we were there for the month of March (spring break).
Our Site/Phone/TV: Site 74 – Verizon and AT&T worked for phone, wi-fi, no over-the-air television channels but some sites have cable.
Elevation/Landscape/Terrain: It is located across the street from the golf resort and is a large parking lot with a small green space between sites.
Lighting/Noise: No obtrusive lighting or noise at night.
Favorite Camper Site: None
RV Office: Reservations are made by calling 432-424-5180. It may take multiple calls to get through.
