Kartchner Caverns State Park, Benson, Arizona
Opinion: Highly Recommended. The park is well maintained and has educational, environmentally responsible cavern tours.
Amenities: Cavern tours, hiking trails for everyone from the novice to the experienced hiker, picnic areas with/without shaded ramadas, Hummingbird Garden Walk, informative Discovery Center, Bat Cave Cafe, scenic overlook, amphitheater, and gatehouse.
Hiking trails vary in length from 2.5 miles (the moderately difficult Foothills Loop Trail) to the 4.2 mile (at times very strenuous Guindani Trail). Hikers are advised to use safe hiking procedures and to follow all guidelines.

Overview of Sites: 62 RV pads with electric and water hookups – all sites range in length but the park can accommodate all RVs, drive through and back-in sites, level sites, asphalt pads, and interior roads are paved
Laundry: No laundry on site.
Restrooms: Clean and well stocked restrooms.
Rate: We paid $31/night for water/electric site. Two week maximum stay.
Our Site/Phone/TV: Site 60 – Verizon and AT&T worked for phone, good wifi at site, OTA television (4 channels)
Elevation/Landscape/Terrain: It is located on the outskirts of Benson, Arizona and each site has a small desert vegetation space between sites. Elevation in the park is 5,620 feet and at the peak of the mountain it is over 7,000 ft. (Keep this in mind for all hikes.)
Lighting/Noise: No obtrusive lighting or noise at night.
