Harris Beach State Park
Opinion: Highly Recommended
Amenities: Hiking, beaches, mountain biking, and beautiful views.
Dates of Stay: April 24-27, 2017
Overview of Sites: 153 RV pads (when the whole park is available)- the park can accommodate all RVs with back-in, asphalt pads, and interior roads are paved. Most sites have varying degrees from level. Some have views of the ocean (A loop).
Laundry: None in the park, but 2-3 available in town.
Restrooms: Clean and well stocked restrooms/showers. (They were not climate controlled but looked like they were in the process of installing heat/air.)
Rate: We paid $33 nightly.
Our Site/Phone/TV: Site C-22, a back-in site – Verizon and AT&T worked for phone, no wi-fi or cable at this site. You can select either an electric-water-cable site, electric-water-sewer sites or boon docking site (no hook-ups) but they are upgrading the park so we don’t know how it will be in the future. No over-the-air television.
Elevation/Landscape/Terrain: The RV park is right on the ocean with lots of trees and tall thick shrubs surrounded us – great privacy. The park itself sits on a cliff, overlooking sandy beaches and also the rocky and rugged coastline. There are trails throughout the park to explore, even one to town.
Lighting/Noise: No obtrusive lighting but you can hear the highway noise at times. It didn’t bother us but it also rained the whole time we were here so that might have drowned it out.
Favorite Camper Site: A-22 – best views from inside the RV (Unfortunately, it was closed for repairs while we were here.)
RV Office: Reservations are made by visiting OregonStateParks.ReserveAmerica.com
