Green Acres RV Park, Redding, California

Green Acres RV Park

4812 Westside Road,

Redding, California 96001

Opinion: If you visit this park, take your time checking-in with the lonely, elderly man who owns the park.  Otherwise, be aware it is located in an industrial area with many homeless people on the street right outside the park.  I felt fine inside the park and the neighborhood never encroached upon the park but I would not recommend selecting this RV park as a place to stay.

Amenities: Pool (it wasn’t open when we were here because the owner said as far as he is concerned it is still winter), pet area, horseshoe pit, shuffleboard courts (don’t look used) and laundry. There are no restrooms or showers so your RV needs to be self-contained.

Dates of Stay: April 19-21, 2017

Overview of Sites: 33 RV pads with full hookups –  the park can accommodate most with level, concrete pads, and interior roads are paved.

Laundry:  Nice laundry located near the pool (Machines are showing their age and a couple of them were works in progress.)

Restrooms:   None

Rate: We paid $35.25 nightly with the Good Sam discount.

Our Site/Phone/TV: Site 26, across from the office – Verizon and AT&T worked for phone, one of the best wi-fi signal/bandwidth we have had since we went on the road, & cable tv

Elevation/Landscape/Terrain:  It is a large parking lot with a small green space between sites. I woke up one night hollering with a Charley-horse and I woke up the neighbors. (Oops!)

Lighting/Noise: No obtrusive lighting or noise (except me).

Favorite Camper Site:  None

RV Office:  Reservations are made by calling 800-891-6777.  The owner doesn’t know how to use the internet but his son comes by periodically to help him.
