Butterfield RV Resort & Observatory, Benson, Arizona
Opinion: Highly Recommended. The park is very, well maintained and was named the Arizona ARVC Park of the Year.
Amenities: Big rig sites, pool, spa, workout room, lending library, laundry, recreation room, restrooms/showers, cablevision (14 channels – including a park channel introducing all park current events), pet yard, banquet hall, Observatory, club house, and office/gift shop. Safeway store within walking distance.
The Observatory is always free to campers with nightly shows – weather permitting. However, you must sign up in the office to attend the Observatory show.
Dates of Stay: March 21-23, 2017
Overview of Sites: 164 RV pads with full hookups – all sites range in length but the park can accommodate all RVs, drive through and back-in sites, level sites, concrete pads, and interior roads are paved.
Laundry: Nice laundry on site.
Restrooms: Clean and well stocked restrooms.
Rate: We paid $38.00 per night with the Escapee discount.
Our Site/Phone/TV: Site 61 – Verizon and AT&T worked for phone, poor wifi at site but it was at the recreation room, cable television (12 channels)
Elevation/Landscape/Terrain: It is located on the outskirts of town and each site has a small green space between sites.
Lighting/Noise: No obtrusive lighting or noise at night.
Favorite Camper Site: None
