August 16 – 17, 2016
After a nice stop at the brewery, we left Maine and headed into southern New Hampshire.
Newfound RV Park
Located in an area of New Hampshire where the mountains meet the lakes, the drive into the park was very scenic, along the edge of Newfound Lake. The RV park is a small private park, with a combination of back-in sites and many pull-throughs, large rec room, clean showers & laundry room. Our site was a long gravel pull-through, much longer than our little rig and Jeep needed.
Area Attractions
With just one day to check out the local area, we focused on what we like the most – hiking and waterfalls.
Profile Falls
Located on the outskirts of Bristol, New Hampshire, on Smith River, Profile Falls drop 40′. The falls are named for a “profile” of a face on the rocks to the right of the falls. It wasn’t a long hike, but there were some large rocks and boulders to pass through to get the best view of the falls.
